About me

Hi, I’m Suryamukhi, an AI/ML researcher and engineer with 8+ years of experience building NLP and LLM systems, across both academic research and real-world applications.

I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher at Universitätsmedizin Greifswald, where I work on clinical NLP and applied AI, developing systems that help support decision-making in regulated healthcare environments. My work here spans knowledge-grounded LLM pipelines, information extraction from medical records, and building AI that is auditable and designed for high-stakes settings.

Before this, I did my PhD at IIT Hyderabad, where I focused on entity and relation modelling across knowledge graphs. I’ve published 10+ papers in top AI/NLP venues and supervised graduate research along the way.
